Studio Time

Usually begin by sorting through found objects: new & stash. Let the materials lead, explore, experiment & open to where the process may take me..

Studio in garden was rescued unwanted potting shed, dismantled, moved, rebuilt by husband & friends. So grateful to have this amazing space to escape to.

Beyond the studio

Creativity doesn't require a studio, if Scottish weather kind like nothing more than making wherever I am.

Loch side cyanotype printmaking

.Capture the essence of the environment, place found objects / seaweed directly onto wet prepped paper. Leave in the sunshine, once colour changes, rinse & hang to dry..

Experimentied with different combination of chemicals, paper & exposure times, pushing boundaries.

Scrolls created (printed on both sides of paper), added stitch & kelp to add texture.

Wherever you are

Making art from found & natural objects means learning to adapt, work with what have to hand, in harmony with the environment. Use these sessions to create artworks & or play with ideas which can then expand on when back home.. Most importantly enjoy the place, the process & being creative..

Capturing the moment

Enjoy capturing images when out & about, will experiment with photography techniques and once home blend compositions. Stand alone prints or backgrounds for other projects. .
