A WALK IS

more than just a journey,  it is an invitation to fully engage with the landscape

.

.

an opportunity to gather free art materials & sustainably harvest flora, fauna & seaweed

an excursion to fuel inspiration for all aspects of life,

a way to forge a multi-sensory, physical connection between an artist & their surroundings.

Immerse self in place

Take the time to observe & really notice the landscape, from sweeping vistas to the immediate environment beneath your feet.. A micro and macro perspective, helps you to become immersed in the place.. rather than a mere visitor, see the unseen & provides opportunities for inspiration & reflection.

Take a moment to truly see

When I go for a walk I take the time to enjoy the place, see things that might have remained unseen or overlooked., let the world unfold before me one mindful step at a time.,

Process never fails to deliver, definitely recommend.

Wisdom of Vincent van Gogh

Always continue walking a lot & loving nature, for that's the real way to learn to understand art better & better.

Walking Art is

an artistic practice that positions walking as the central process, experience, or outcome. Rather than merely being a method of transportation, the act of walking becomes the canvas for mark-making, storytelling, social practice & or conceptual exploration.

Eco-conscious art

Combining a deep love for walking along the coast & the desire to develop an eco-conscious practice led me to experiment & transform seaweed & found objects into artworks & jewellery.
